Pet Items
Every wearable pet item — effect, rarity, stacking maths, salvage value — plus the slot rules, what happens to items in a trade, and the drop odds from the MEGA BALL, Hoard chests and expeditions.
Pet items are small wearables that any pet can carry in its item slot. They come from the MEGA BALL (the ARCADE machine's MEGA WIN), from Hoard chests, from expedition crews and from the Boss Raid; they live in the bag's PET ITEMS tab until you assign them, and add a flat bonus on top of whatever the pet itself does — so a Coin Charm on a Lucky Rabbit gives you coins even though the rabbit only knows portals. Every pet's card shows a running total of what its items are giving you.

Mining tools
4 items are found underground by expedition crews. They are worn like any other pet item and work on a crew (Prospector's Pan also pays on the board's bin landings): a digging tool only works while its wearer is on a crew, so the choice is which pet to send, not whether to wear it. Dig power belongs to the pet wearing the tool; the find-chance tools add up across the whole crew.
| Item | Type | Rarity | Bonus | Exactly what it does | Stacking | Salvage | id |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pet item · mining tool | COMMON | +5% Ore (bin landings + expedition crew) | +5% Ore (bin landings + expedition crew) | Adds up across copies | 2,500 | prospectors_pan | |
| Pet item · mining tool | COMMON | +10% Dig Power (expeditions) | The pet wearing it digs with 10% more dig power on an expedition. Does nothing on the board. | Boosts the wearer's own dig power — copies on one pet add up | 2,500 | miners_headlamp | |
| Pet item · mining tool | COMMON | +10% Deep Find Chance (crew) | The crew's chance of a deep find on a completed trip is 10% higher. | Adds up across every item the crew is wearing | 2,500 | dowsing_rod | |
| Pet item · mining tool | COMMON | +50% Strange Slab Finds (crew) | The crew's chance of bringing home a Strange Slab for the Boneyard is 50% higher. | Adds up across every item the crew is wearing | 2,500 | paleo_brush |
Hoard tools
The Hoard's own 2 items drop only from hoard chests: each one 0.25% / 0.5% / 0.75% / 1% / 1.25% a chest, climbing with the chest's tier. They work on a pet standing in the hoard crew, and every copy across the crew adds: the Gatebreaker Maul's gate damage is one more source that multiplies with the rest.
| Item | Type | Rarity | Bonus | Exactly what it does | Stacking | Salvage | id |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pet item · hoard tool | RARE | +5% Gate Damage (hoard crew) | Worn by a pet in the Hoard crew: the hoard hits gates 5% harder. Copies across the crew add. | Adds up across every item the crew is wearing | 2,500 | gatebreaker_maul | |
| Pet item · hoard tool | RARE | +1% Chest Damage (hoard crew) | Worn by a pet in the Hoard crew: chests open 1% faster. Copies across the crew add. | Adds up across every item the crew is wearing | 2,500 | gilded_crowbar |
Evolution stones
Two consumables ride the same item system but are never worn: they are spent in the Pets menu's EVO workshop, which is also the only place they are shown and the only place they can be scrapped (they do not appear in the bag). See Pet Evolution for the recipe.
| Item | Type | Rarity | Bonus | Exactly what it does | Salvage | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Consumable | MYTHIC | Evolves a pet | Consumed to evolve a 3★ Lv 100 pet in the EVO workshop. | 10,000 | Boss Raid — Crypt: 4% (1 in 25) of the team's pet-item roll · Corrupted Crypt: 14% (1 in 7.14) | |
| Consumable | MYTHIC | Evolves a pet | Consumed to evolve a mythic pet in the EVO workshop. | 10,000 | Boss Raid — Corrupted Crypt: 1.37% (1 in 73.1) |
Stacking
Items on different equipped pets combine, but not by simple addition. Chance-style bonuses stack as "did at least one copy hit?" — 1 − (1 − bonus)copies — so every extra copy is worth a little less and the total never reaches +100%. The table shows the real combined bonus:
| Item | 1 copy | 3 copies | 5 copies | 10 copies |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +5% | +14.26% | +22.62% | +40.13% | |
| +5% | +14.26% | +22.62% | +40.13% | |
| +2% | +5.88% | +9.61% | +18.29% | |
| +3% | +8.73% | +14.13% | +26.26% | |
| +2% | +5.88% | +9.61% | +18.29% |
- Lucky Penny is the exception among the live items: copies add up, and the total multiplies the pet crates' rare-or-better group odds (see pet crate odds).
- Echo Relic is per-pet: it strengthens the abilities of the pet wearing it by 10%, the same way a Charm Octopus charm does, so wearing two on two pets boosts each of them once. It scales magnitudes only — flat counts (e.g. "+2 balls") and cadences ("every N landings") are left alone.
- Pet items are separate from Marquee and pet buffs and multiply after them — a Gold Tooth's +5% applies to the already-buffed gold-ball payout.
Where pet items come from
| Source | What it can drop | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| the MEGA BALL (the ARCADE machine's MEGA WIN) | The live board items, by stake (table below) | 1.31% (1 in 76.3) per MEGA WIN at ×1, rising with the stake |
| Hoard chests | The Gatebreaker Maul or the Gilded Crowbar, evenly (found nowhere else) | Each 0.25% / 0.5% / 0.75% / 1% / 1.25% per chest, lowest tier to highest |
| Expeditions | The mining tools, from every world | 1 in 1,000 (World 1) to 1 in 450 (World 5) per hour of a completed trip |
| Boss Raid | The raid uniques and evolution stones | The team pet-item roll |
Hoard chests
Every Hoard chest you open — whatever its tier — can hold one of the hoard's own two pet items, each at 0.25% / 0.5% / 0.75% / 1% / 1.25% from the lowest chest tier to the highest: the Gatebreaker Maul (+5% gate damage) and the Gilded Crowbar (+1% chest damage). They work only on a pet standing in the hoard crew, every copy across the crew adds, and no other content drops them. Every other item comes only from its own content.
Expedition finds
Only a trip that comes home whole can find an item. The chance grows with the hours underground; recalled trips never roll.

Drop odds by stake
On the board side, pet items come from the MEGA BALL (the ARCADE machine's MEGA WIN). When a MEGA WIN lands, the five bins flip to prizes and a mega ball is launched; the middle bin is the PET ITEM. The chance of the pet bin is what 66 rolls of the old catch game's per-ball rate added up to, so it rises with the ARCADE stake (1.31% (1 in 76.3) at ×1 up to 23.2% (1 in 4.3) at ×200). The rarity a find can be is gated by stake too: below ×10 only the three common items are on the prize wheel, legendaries need ×10+, and the mythic Echo Relic needs ×100+. The Echo Relic is rolled first, then the legendary group, then a common; within a group every item is equally likely. The wheel is theatre — the server has already decided the prize.

Boosting the find rate
- The Marquee grants +0.5% Pet Item Find on 68 of its level rewards (the first at arcade level 6, the last at 495) — +34% in total, multiplying the per-ball rate the MEGA WIN chance is built from.
- Higher stakes raise both the base rate and the share of rare items, and the two compound — the last two columns above are the product.
Raid uniques
Six items drop only from the Boss Raid's team pet-item roll. Their chance stats stack the same diminishing-returns way; the Siege Ember multiplies, and the Dungeon Heart, Scholar's Mark and Warbrand add up without a cap.

Tips
- Put chance items on pets you always equip — the item only counts while the pet is in a slot, and the per-world loadout swaps pets (and their items) with them.
- Wear the Echo Relic on the pet whose ability you rely on most; its +10% is worth more on a big percentage than on a flat count it cannot touch.
- Farm board items at the highest stake you can hold: a MEGA WIN at ×200 lands the pet bin 23.2% (1 in 4.3) of the time against 1.31% (1 in 76.3) at ×1, and only the high stakes put legendaries on the wheel.
- Open every Hoard chest, even the cheap ones — even a common chest can hold a hoard item, and higher tiers hold them more often.
- Send long expeditions: only completed trips roll for a mining tool, and the chance scales with the hours.
